Hot Saw
In 2004 we received the engineering contract from voestalpine rail for the rebuild of the drive of the existing hot saw.
Using VTS saw blades instead of metal saw blades led to slippage on the flat belt.
The task was to replace the flat belt drive by a form-fit drive train.
The new form-fit drive train was performed by a cardan shaft and a bevel gear.
For easier mounting of the saw blade, the existing nut was replaced by a hydraulic clamping nut.
Technical Data:
- Engine speed: n = 740 rpm
- Nominal motor torque: M = 1.419 Nm
- Bevel gear: i = 1,75:1
- permissibile drive torque: 6.600 Nm
