The core of the plant, the Trio-rolling mill, was modified to a DUO rolling mill to enable reversing duty. The main drive and some other mill components have been completely renewed. The existing mill housings are still in use.

In order to increase production in the future, the roll gap has also been increased. New cooling units, new buildings to accommodate the new electrical system and hydraulic modifications were carried out.

In addition to the modifications of the mill, the project also included various adaptions for the material flow. For this purpose, the tilting tables were adapted on the entry and exit side. A new roller table was installed, for further transport of the plates to the hot leveller.
