Milling Cutter Manipulator

The construction of the manipulator included the substructure, drive unit and gripper arm. The drive unit can move in the rails of the base frame and the gripper arm is rotary mounted on the drive unit.
The manipulator has the task to remove worn milling cutter from the cutter depot, to transport them into the workshop and inserted new one’s into the cutter depot after completion of the service.
During service in the workshop the milling cutter is in position that the cutting plates are upwards. The construction allows the milling cutter in this position to rotate to facilitate changing of cutting plates.
