  Modern machine and plant design and engineering would be impossible without complex analyses and calculations. We perform these in-house. FE-calculations of critical parts, pass schedules, vibration analyses or detail optimisations are part of our engineers’ daily business.
- 3d Laserscanning
  For the benefit of our customers, we are equipped with state-of-the-art laser scanning technology since 2019. Within a few minutes, the 3D scanner creates models of plants or entire factory halls with millimetre accuracy. As a result, less time is lost with on-site measurements and the actual situation can be efficiently compared with new plans.

Descaler

Customer: Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH

In July 2023, BUMA was commissioned to renew the descaler and the entry side guide of the first finishing mill stand.
Full production resumed in November 2024 after a 13-day shutdown.

The new descaler includes various quick-change systems for spray headers, deflectors, water collection equipment, roller table rollers, pinch rollers, and squeeze rollers.

A fully automatic nozzle testing device allows a spray test to be performed parallel to a work roll change.

The new entry side guide of the first finishing mill stand was attached directly to the mill housing. For this purpose, both mill housings were machined.

The service life of the entry side guide rollers attached to the entry side guide was significantly increased.
